that dzhokhar tsarnaev, the one everybody is looking for, might be just a few blocks down here at an office complex. a security sensor had been -- had tipped off that there was, authorities, there was some intrusion that led everybody to think he was there. cars were zooming down here with screaming lights, and that turned out to be a wash. so i think that's just another reminder of how cautious we have to be until we know for sure where things stand. what we do know is he's on the loose. we do know -- we don't know -- there's no confidence that they know where he is and whether or not he has any accomplices. that may be an open question at this point. and probably the biggest open question of all is whether there are any more explosive devices, any ieds out there that he's left to maim and kill people that they don't know about. one was found in boston earlier today, and that may be the scariest singleknow, though, th police have been going door-to-door in this area all day. how far along do you think they are in securing the area? because as i understand it, at 12:30 when governor deval p
who has been all over this story. j dzhokhar tsarnaev will be charged in a civilian court given the debate we have been talking about this this morning. that will be happening to him? >> no question. a policy decision the obama administration has made. he was a american citizen and naturalized last september and now a federal law, the national defense authorization act of 2012 that says american citizens cannot be tried in military commission. so it's not -- this debate is not a question about where he should be tried. the republicans who say he should be treated differently, their claim is that while they understand the civilian trial will go forward, they think he should be treated for now as an enemy combatant and questioned without any question about his rights, without any issue about whether information he gives would be used in his trial, and then turn back over to civilian authorities. but, clearly, the justice department will have none of that. that's not how it's going to go. >> he's in a boston hospital under heavy guard and serious condition including a gunshot wound
to hold a hole through the boat. live party in the boat confirmed. >> dzhokhar tsarnaev the suspect is hospitalized in serious condition and under armed guard. the investigators haven't been able to question him yet. he was found hiding in the boat and taken into custody after a final change of gunfire in watertown. that's where we found mike to bin. mike? >> governor, this is the neighborhood where david spotted someone wound bleed hiding in the boat. he did what investigators urged people to do. he backed off and called 911. police recovers and canine units and federal agents were racing to the scene and the helicopter produced a thermal image of a heat signature and someone hide laying in the boat it was the 19 year old killer. he shot once and a gun battle ensued. resummoneding officers were nervous that tsarnaev might be strapped to explosives. he was taken into custody and then the officers made him lift his shirt and then he surrendered. no where was the celebration sweeter than fenway park where a song that a signature sung by the crowd and the man who sings it best. neal di
